10 books

Gather up ten books. Go to page 30 of every book and write down the 30th word on that page. Now, using those ten words, write a story that is only 10 sentences long. Send us your stories and we'll post them! Check out two awesome solutions sent in by clicking on the comments to this post! Great work!!!

Here is Tatum's (10 years old) story:

Harry had waited for hours...no DAYS, it seemed. His stomach churned with anxiety as he waited and waited. He was down in the dumps (not to mention MAD!) when it wasn't there yesterday. Now he had to wait through school and *learn* before it came? Now of all the times it could come, it came while he was at school?!?!? What he had been waiting for his entire life was finally here! He showed all of his siblings. He showed all of his pets. He showed his parents and they asked what it was. Harry retorted in an exasperated voice, "It's a new stamp for my stamp collection, of course!"

I'm not certain if this will be a duplicate post, but here you go (maybe again):

I’m going to tell you about an experience I had that’s anything but ordinary! I was riding a subway and I saw the word NINJA scratched into the wall, and it was glowing! Just then, a ninja jumped in front of the subway ( I later found out that the word glowing meant a ninja was about to come) and the driver screeched to a halt. The ninja jumped in and grabbed me! He took me to a place he called the subzone; he said that the idea was to make it sound deep dark and spooky! There were ninjas everywhere and when we walked in every head turned to look their ninja base definitely spooky! My ninja (his name was David) gave me a black ninja outfit to put on. It was to big so he gave me a black rope to knot around my waist to keep it from slipping. He taught me some rules on how to be a ninja said I was the perfect type and then let me go. Be careful when you go on a subway though, there are still ninja’s in that base!
