Week Forty-Five -- Working with Water

Using the following materials, construct a water wheel:

a long dowel
a cardboard tube or a two liter bottle or a can
8 index cards
a sharpie
string
tape

You may use scissors in construction but not the solution.

When you are done. Test it by pouring water on it See if it turns. Attach it to a boat and see if it will pull the boat along when you pour water on it.

Also, check out some of the new articles and links at the right side of our site.

Here's our link for this week: http://www.secularhomeschool.eu/?p=181

Although I'm hoping to add an update after Gamma does some "inventing" later on!

Thanks for the challenge -- it's sparked a lot of question/answer sessions about hydroelectricity. Who knew?!
